little love

there is a part of me that wants to keep quiet and a part that doesn't
there is a part of you that makes me sing and a part that makes me silent
and a part of you with a part of me that makes me feel complete

beautiful photo of Hedy Lamarr -- my grandmother was a spitting image of her when she was a young woman.

don't know why..but placebo have been stuck in my heart lately

It's never bad to be learning. I love it. You should learn something new every day. Anyway, that's one of the things I love about nursing. Everyday you learn something new. From someone, about something, how to think about something. It's also very inspiring. When I finally have time for my art again, I will have a lot of stuff to pull from. One of my graduation presents to myself is going to buy a bunch of film and go out and photograph. I just have put that on hold for too long. That, and all of the film I have to develop. :p

PORTRAITS OF YOU EACH TIME I SAY GOODBYE

New Project: inspired by the fact that there are a lot of people in my life that I love but don't see that often. It also has a deeper message than that. We have experiences with people while we are with them, but are not there to experience large parts of their lives as well. How do we see them? How are relationships affected by distance, by family, by time?

How do we change each time we see each other.

I think this will be good.

And a man said, Speak to us of Self-Knowledge.
And he answered saying:
Your hearts know in silence the secrets of the days and the nights.
But your ears thirst for the sound of your heart's knowledge.
You would know in words that which you have always known in thought.
You would touch with your fingers the naked body of your dreams.

And it is well you should.
The hidden well-spring of your soul must needs rise and run murmuring to the sea;
And the treasure of your infinite depths would be revealed to your eyes.
But let there be no scales to weigh your unknown treasure;
And seek not the depths of your knowledge with staff or sounding line.
For self is a sea boundless and measureless.

Say not, "I have found the truth," but rather, "I have found a truth."
Say not, "I have found the path of the soul." Say rather, "I have met the soul walking upon my path."
For the soul walks upon all paths.
The soul walks not upon a line, neither does it grow like a reed.
The soul unfolds itself, like a lotus of countless petals.
